Since our establishment in 1984, Estate Sawmills have become a highly regarded timber specialists, providing fencing, decking and landscaping supplies to the whole of West Yorkshire and parts of North Yorkshire.Managing Director Michael Calvert with Director and wife Kate Calvert
Owner ‘Michael Calvert’ started the business at the young age of 23 and began to sell fencing panels at his father’s farm ‘Ashwell Farm’ in Heaton, Bradford.
Following success and expansion in the late 90’s, the operation moved to a larger site at Thorncliffe Works in Bradford with Michael’s wife ‘Kate’ joining the business in 1999 to manage the accounts.
Fast forward another 10 years of steady growth and another move was required to a larger site. As luck would have it, a piece of land became available just across the road.
This is where we are currently located today and a recent investment in further expansion just last year has provided easier access and a much better turning circle for vehicles in our yard.
Thank you to all of our customers for trusting in us over the past 35 years. Many of you have come back to us time and again and/or recommended us to your friends, family and colleagues. Your custom and support is very much appreciated. Thank you also to our dedicated, exceptionally hard working team, most of whom have been with us since the beginning.
Keith, pictured here back in the 80s and Norman our forklift driver both joined us in 1985 and Steve our operations manager has now been with us for over 20 years.
We are very much looking forward to the next chapter and we plan to continue to provide high quality timber products at competitive prices whilst maintaining our high levels of customer service.
